Veteran actress KPAC Lalitha's recent interview with Kaumudy TV has created a storm, as she comes up with serious allegations against yesteryear comedian Adoor Bhasi.

Lalitha says that she was under intense pressure from Adoor Bhasi, who enjoyed great clout during those days, even more than the superstars of those times like Prem Nazir.

When she refused to give in to Bhasi’s demands, she was sidelined in the industry, says the actress in the interview.

Once Bhasi came to her house with his driver and started drinking. It was actor Bahadur who came to her help and took him away.

Lalitha says that she did complain about this harassment to actor K P Ummer, who was the President of the artistes’ association then but Ummer blamed her instead asked her to remain silent.

The 71 year old actress is the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy. She has done over 550 films and has won the National award for the best supporting actress, twice.

Adoor Bhasi died in 1990.
