Prabhu Deva announces 'Devi 2', shoot begins in Mauritius

Prabhu Deva- director Vijay’s recent dance-based film ‘Lakshmi’ failed to set the box office on fire but the director-actor duo is once again teaming up for the sequel of their 2016 hit horror-comedy film ‘Devi’.

Prabhu Deva posted a picture of him along with comedy actress Kovai Sarala on Twitter and wrote that the shoot of Devi 2 begins in Mauritius. It’s unclear whether Tamannaah Bhatia reprises her role in the sequel or a fresh heroine to be paired opposite Prabhu Deva in the film.

Besides Devi 2, Prabhu Deva also has Charlie Chaplin 2, cop action thriller Pon Manickavel, Thael, and Oomai Vizhigal. Industry sources say that Prabhu Deva’s films have good demand in Hindi satellite market and hence, Tamil producers showing a great interest in bankrolling his heroic projects.
