Remain alert, MLAs urge BJP men
Karnal, February 9
To maintain peace and harmony in the society amid the ongoing Jat agitation, HAFED Chairman and Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan, along with Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi and Haryana State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd Chairman and district convener Rameshwar Das, held a meeting of party workers at the PWD Rest House in Gharaunda.Addressing party workers, they asked them to remain more vigilant as some anti-social elements could disturb the social environment of the state on the pretext of agitation. “During the stir last year, the state was burnt and it had to face a lot of humiliation. So, it was the duty of all society members to thwart any attempt of anti-social elements to disturb brotherhood in the state,” said Kalyan. Some persons from a neighbouring state had been provoking people here to get involved in the agitation, he alleged.
Rameshwar Das said some people, to fulfil their political motives, had been disturbing the social fabric. He urged party workers to be vigilant to prevent any untoward incident in the wake of the stir.
