The police team investigating the murder of former radio jockey Rajesh aka Rasikan Rajesh at Madavoor recovered the car allegedly used by the assailants from near Adoor on Friday. The car, which was purportedly registered in the name of a native of Kayamkulam, was found abandoned by the police. Investigations found that the vehicle was hired from a Kayamkulam-based car rental firm. According to sources, as many as five persons were taken into custody late Thursday , As Reported By Hindu.

According to the Newspaper,While they were not directly linked with the crime, they are believed to have provided vital information that could lead to the alleged hit gang, which is suspected to have been active in Oachira and Kayamkulam. The police were yet to ascertain if the person who had taken the car on rent was part of the gang or was acting at its behest. A forensic team has commenced efforts to collect evidence from the seized vehicle. Meanwhile, the police have obtained leads to confirm that the alleged gang had fled the State. Multiple teams are believed to have been dispatched to various places, including Chennai, based on information received from those in custody.
