New Maruti S Cross 2017 facelift has finally gone on sale in the Indian market with some cosmetic upgrades and slight interior tweaks.
Available in four trim levels namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, the crossover has been priced between Rs 8.49 lakh – Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Featuring subtle cosmetic upgrades and new features, the S-Cross looks bolder and up-market than the old model.
Upfront, the 2017 Maruti S Cross looks more aggressive than the outgoing model including new LED projector headlamps and a new radiator grille with wider lower mouth with a sculpted hood design.
The 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is equipped with the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine boosted by SHVS mild-hybrid technology. The beast churns out some decent power and torque figures and they stand at 88.47bhp and 200Nm respectively. The crossover now claims to deliver mileage of 25.1kmpl which is slightly higher than the previous model.
Under new taxation system (GST), the government has increased cess on hybrid vehicles. This makes the 2017 Maruti S Cross slightly more expensive than its predecessor. While the old model was priced in the range of Rs 7.94 lakh (for the DDiS 200 Sigma base variant) – Rs 11.66 lakh (for the top-spec DDiS 320 Alpha variant), the new S Cross facelift comes within the range of Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 11.29 lakh with all prices stated being ex-showroom Delhi.
