After actress Priyanka Chopra gave us a sneak-peek into her wedding outfit, fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee shared a video of the making of her red lehenga for the Indian wedding. The video takes us through artisans working on the deep red lehenga, which had intricate French embroidery and the fine sequin work. Sabyasachi said, “About 100 embroideries from Calcutta took 3720 hours to create this masterpiece. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss make this piece of impossible couture.”
Priyanka paired it with traditional gold jewellery – a matha patti, nathand chudra- and a necklace by Chopard from their Haute Joaillerie Collection. The necklace featured 184.50-carats of pear-shaped diamonds set in 18k ethical white gold. She wore pear-shaped diamond and a 16-carat oval-shaped diamond headpiece.
The wedding ceremonies were held at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur.
