14 hardware traders cheated of Rs 1.5 crore

Get News Updates directly on your WhatsApp!Click here to Subscribe.AHMEDABAD: Vastrapur police on Friday registered a complaint for cheating and breach of trust against a Bapunagar-based trader of computer hardware and peripherals for allegedly cheating 14 traders of Rs 1.48 crore.
According to the FIR, Mitul Krushnakant Desai, who runs a computers and hardware shop in Bapunagar received goods worth Rs 57.87 lakh from a Vastrapur-based trader, Kalpesh Vakharia, between April 2017 and September 2018. Of this total, Desai did not pay Vakharia Rs 17 lakh. Desai has been incommunicado since September and his office was found to be closed when Vakharia went there. When Vakharia enquired with 13 other traders, he found that Desai had not paid them for computers and peripherals taken either. Vakharia and the other traders then approached Vastrapur police and filed an FIR.
