Chandrakanta Serial on Life OK

The TV wars are once again getting exciting with two channels pitching the same show to audiences around the same time. Both Life Ok and Colors are gearing up to show Hindi serials based on the popular novel Chandrakanata, which was first adapted in the 90s and another version in 2011, that was aired on Sahara One. Now we have Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta serial that will be telecast on Life OK.

There is a similar one being made by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms for Colors TV. Will these both be aired at the same time? Or will one of the projects be killed? We will have to wait to see how that plays out. Until then here’s more about Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta on Life OK channel.

The original book has been adapted many time and the writers have taken a lot of liberty while adapting the story. We do not know how this one will shape up. However, if they decide to stick to the original it will be a grand epic and fun to watch.

Chandrakanta is a beautiful princes and is desired by all. Krur Singh decies he wants to marry the princess and also wants to get hold of her throne. When she says no to him, he joins forces with Shivdutt. Shivdutt is the king of neighboring kingdom and agrees to help Krur Singh.

Together, they capture the princess and keep her captive in a Tillism. Tillism is a magical maze which ordinary humans cannot break in or out of. This is when Prince Virendra Singh decides to help the princess and rescue her from Shivdutt’s Tillism. He gets help form Aiyyars (Special Warriors) and breaks into the Tillism and fights Shivdutt.

The story is very basic, but it is the characters, time, and environment that makes it interesting in this case. We hope the producers can recreate the kingdoms and magical places well and avoid using cheap graphics that tend to kill all the fun.
