Head To This Grilled Sandwich Corner In Lokhandwala For Weekend Munching
Mumbai is no stranger to sandwiches; having perfected the quintessential Bombay Sandwich a long time ago. While we have no problems with it, the city also offers a bunch of other sandwich options that aren’t the classic Bombay sandwich, though still manage to impress. Raj Dosa And Roll Corner, peculiarly named after everything that’s not sandwiches, in Lokhandwala is surely one of them.
While their main menu consists of a bunch of delicious things like dosas, uttapams and rolls, it’s their separate sandwich menu we want to talk about today. From the masala grilled variety to the plain veg one, served simply with green chutney and ketchup, we have tried almost everything on their menu, and are happy to report that they’ve been by far some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in the city.

The best part? All of the sandwiches on the menu are quite filling, so you won’t have to make another pit stop for dinner on your way back home. It’s not a brick and mortar outlet; being a tiny kiosk outside another shop, the only way you could eat there is by parking yourself on the plastic stools right there. Owing to the fact that they’re almost always full, what we usually do is take the food away, which usually works out. They’re also very cheap (the biggest sandwich on the menu costs like Rs 120), so you won’t have to make a stop at the ATM for a visit here.
Being located in one of the busiest markets in Andheri, there’s a high chance you’d not be able to find parking right outside the shop, though you will if you drive around a bit and look. It’s best to not take your car for an unfettered sandwich-gobbling experience, though.
