IG ATS to probe behind suicide of driver and family
Jaipur: A senior inspector general of police (IG) rank officer of the ATS , Rajasthan has been asked to probe under what circumstances Gena Ram, working as driver of senior police officer had committed suicide along with his family.Gena Ram had committed suicide along with his wife and two children- a son and daughter- and left a five-page hand-written and signed suicide note in which he had described how the life of his family was thrown into shambles because of false accusation of theft by neighbour, assistant sub-inspector Radha Kishan. The state government has asked Biju George Joseph, inspector general of police to look into the abetment of suicide angle into the matter. Joseph is camping in Nagaur for the past three days and has been collecting information relating to the matter.Basically I will find out if there is actually an abetment of suicide angle into the suicide of Gena Ram and his family members. He had also accused his senior officer of harassing him and also the ASI who had framed him in a case of theft, said Joseph while talking to TOI on Monday.Asked if he has found anything indicative so far he said, It is too early to jump onto some conclusion , As Reported By TOI.
According to the Newspaper,I have to investigate under what circumstances the constable committed suicide. If ASI Radha Kishan who is in jail for abetment of suicide is solely responsible for suicide or any land dispute because of which the family committed suicide. Also I have to find out if there are other people outside our police department responsible for abetment of suicide. The IG is likely to take permission from the court to interrogate ASI who is already in jail.
