Keralite girl stabbed to death by jilted lover in karnataka

SULLIA: A Keralite girl was stabbed to death in Sullia, Karnataka, by a jilted lover.

Akshita, hailing from Santhi Nagar, Mulleriya, Kasaragod, was stabbed by Karthik, a native of Sullia, when she was returning from college. The incident took place at Car Street Nagar around 4.30 pm.

Karthik attacked Akshita with a sharp object. It is reported that he stabbed her six times, and though she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, she was declared dead on arrival.

Karthik, who attempted suicide after stabbing Akshita by cutting his vein, was caught by the by the natives and was handed over to the police.

He has suffered minor injuries.

Both were second year BSc Nursing students of Nehru Memorial College, Sullia.
