Udupi: Thieves Target Two Shops at Gundibail

Udupi: Two shops at Gundibail were burgled during the early hours of Wednesday. Ultra Tech cement dealership outlet and Deepak Jewellers are the shops which were burgled.

The thieves have stolen 2.5 kg silver articles worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakhs including chains, anklets, bangles and waist belt from Deepak Jewellers while a cash of Rs 20,000 was stolen from Ultra Tech cement shop.

The thieves had bolted from outside the houses of the studio and jeweller owners who reside in the rented accommodation above the shops.
