Karthika Deepam written update, September 13, 2018: Shravya's plan backfires

In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Mounitha happily agrees to get married to Karthik in spite of knowing his infertility issues. Soundarya is delighted. She assures convincing Karthik to marry Mounitha. Later at home, she declares her decision to Karthik and the rest of the family. Karthik initially protests but eventually gives a nod for the marriage. Aanand Rao expresses his dissent and walks away.

Shravya shares her mother-in-law’s decision with Bhagyalakshmi. She suspects Mounitha’s character and alerts Shravya about the possible threats to her position in the house if Mounitha becomes the elder daughter-in-law. She further advises her to ruin the marriage by hook or crook.

Meanwhile at the hospital, Karthik, in conversation with Mounitha, clarifies that he has reluctantly agreed to the wedding. Mounitha vows to keep him happy. Shravya and Bhagyalakshmi confront Soundarya to question her decision to get Karthik married to Mounitha. She expresses her doubts over Mounitha’s character. Soundarya silences them, pronounces her decision to get Karthik marriage and further warns Shravya of serious consequences. Mounitha overhears the conversation and plans to handle her. Mounitha updates her uncle about her wedding with Karthik and further taunts him about the same.

Shravya and Bhagyalakshmi go shopping and find Deepa in the shop. As customers, they rag her all the while. Deepa slips from the stool as a part of attending her customers. They complain about her work and the hospitality of the shop, thereby aiming to ruin her livelihood.
