Man injured as car hits bike
Zirakpur: A 32-year-old man sustained injuries after his motorbike was allegedly hit by a car near Sekhon Palace on the Zirakpur-Panchkula flyover. The victim has been identified as Kulveer Singh, a resident of Sector 23, Panchkula.
Rameshwar Das, the investigating officer (IO) in the case, said the incident happened on Saturday night when the victim, who works with a courier company, was returning home.
The IO added that when Kulveer reached near the Zirakpur-Panchkula flyover, a rashly driven car reportedly hit the victim’s motorcycle from the rear end following which he sustained injuries. The victim was referred to the GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh, from he was further referred to the PGI, where he is at present undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the accused driver, Akshit, a resident of Chandigarh. — OC
