Before murders, accused dialled victims son
LUDHIANA:A few hours before the brutal murder of a 52-year-old woman and her two grandchildren on Friday, the accused (also the cousin of the woman) had called up her son asking if he could get him some job for which he had come to Ludhiana from Amritsar. The conversation lasted only for a few seconds with Mandeep Singh, victim Gurwinders son, telling him that he had job for him in the city. Following the murders (which were committed between 1pm and 1.30pm), the accused didnt answer phone calls of Mandeep and switched off his phone.On Friday afternoon, panic gripped the Kishor Nagar area of Tajpur Road when a 52-year-old Gurwinder Kaur and her two grandchildren Mandeep Kaur , 8, and Heetak, 6, were found murdered inside their locked house.Rajwinder, cousin of Gurwinder, is suspected to have killed the trio for money, who later escaped with Rs 40,000 cash and some gold jewellery , As Reported By TOI.
According to the Newspaper,He lived at a rented accommodation in the same locality.Police teams have been sent to Amritsar to trace Rajwinder, who had resided at different rented accommodations. Inspector Rajesh Kumar, in-charge, CIA-II, said, The police do not have the exact address of the accused. However, through his call details, we have traced a few people in Amritsar with whom he was in regular contact.
