Woman and two grandchildren murdered in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: A 52-year-old woman and her two grandchildren were found murdered at their house in Kishor Nagar area of Tajpur road on Friday afternoon.The deceased have been identified as Gurwinder Kaur, her granddaughter Mandeep Kaur (8) and grandson Heetak (6).Police are suspecting role of the woman's cousin behind the triple murder . The accused also decamped with Rs 40,000 in cash and some gold jewellery from the house.The accused smashed the victims' heads with a hammer, which was found lying on the spot.Gurwinder Kaur has two daughter Sukhwinder Kaur and Tajinder Kaur. Mandeep was Sukhwinder's daughter while Heetak is Tajinder's son , As Reported By TOI.

According to the Newspaper,Sukhwinder is separated from her husband and lives at her parents' house with her daughter. While Tajinder live in a nearby locality with her family.Both the children studied in Chandigarh Public School at Chandigarh Road in classes IV and II. The school van use to drop both the kids at their grandparents' house in Kishor Nagar.Davinder Singh, the husband of the deceased who performs Keertan at a Gurudwara nearby, told that he had left house at 10 am.
